New To The Range In 2020, We've Developed A Low To Medium Energy Variety Grown On Historic Lincolnshire Parkland.
The Baillie Haylage Traditional Parkland Meadow differs from other Baillie Haylage varieties as it is made from a mixture of long-established grasses and as such replicates a forage typical of yester year.
Like the High Fibre and Meadow Grass, it is lower in sugar and energy (calories) compared to the Ryegrass and Ryegrass and Timothy varieties. Softer than the High Fibre, but with more stem than the Meadow Grass, this variety is a popular choice for the pickiest of eaters. Horses and ponies like to graze on the product, which has a distinctive herby smell and a very high dry matter content, by selecting the different types of grasses as they go - making it great for keeping haynets interesting!
Cut when the seed heads are fully developed, Baillie Haylage Traditional Parkland Meadow is suitable for all types of horses and ponies, including good doers, older hoses, convalescents, natives, those in light work or at rest and some laminitics.
